Londoners love a good tube map, almost as much as we love moaning about rent prices. Last year, Thrillist made the (highly depressing) tube map that showed the average rent cost near every Underground station and now FlexiOffices have turned their attention to the cost of office space, with this handy map that shows all the average rent prices for desk space within Zone One. Seeing we're just talking about renting a single desk, rather than a flat with space for a bed, fridge AND shower (even if they are all in the same 'open plan' room), you'd like to think it might be slightly cheaper, but no.

According to the data, the average monthly cost in Zone One is a clean £790 per month, but prices vary between £1,000 – in Green Park and Paddington – and £400 in the slightly more affordable areas of Edgware Road, Tower Hill and Elephant and Castle. Still, if you've got the choice, it obviously makes more sense to just treat your local coffee shop as your 'office', where your daily 'rent' translates to the cost of a couple of flat whites. Even if the staff do end up hating you for rinsing their wifi.
