Wee don't believe it: walls in Shoreditch have been covered in anti-urine paint

We've heard of some pretty weird things happening in London, but this one takes the piss. In an attempt to stop people, er, relieving themselves on the streets of Shoreditch, Hackney Council has launched a new project that's been dubbed 'peeback time'. And it's not just a silly name. They've painted two walls in the area with anti-urine paint, which creates a barrier that repels liquid so that the walls will effectively start 'weeing' right back at you. Lovely. So far, it's only in two secret locations in Shoreditch and Dalston, but the scheme could be rolled out across Hackney if it's a success. So next time you're out in east London and bursting for a wee, we'd suggest holding out for an actual toilet unless you want to risk being drenched in your own piss.

In other news, Elephant and Castle's mad murals are no more.

And you might have to buy tickets for Notting Hill Carnival in future.
