You can now get a burger in a scotch egg

Just when you thought you'd seen every variety of burger that the human brain was capable of conjuring up, along comes a scotch egg burger and BOOM, that's the sound of your mind blowing once again. Although technically, this isn't actually the first time London has been treated to this combo. The guys at Yeah! Burger were cooking up these bad boys last October at the Star of Hackney Downs but now they're back with a whole menu of the meaty hybrids at The Star of Kings in King's Cross and the Strongroom Bar & Kitchen in Shoreditch. It's all happening August 7-22 in celebration of the Edinburgh festival.

Options include The Scotch Ness Monster (aged beef, pickled onions, cheddar, Yeah Sauce, white pepper and sage scotch egg), The Dragon (lamb patty, caramelised leeks and clamato beurre blanc, encased in a haggis and kedgeree scotch egg) and for the veggies, the Glaswegian (buttermilk fried tofu, kimchi and wasabi and nori mayo, encased in a mushroom and quinoa scotch egg). Because why have one great thing when you can have two combined?
