You can now order food and drinks using emojis at a bar in Notting Hill

Notting Hill’s party-themed venue The Little Yellow Door is launching an emoji-themed menu for the summer, giving diners the chance to order their grub via WhatsApp (if, that is, they can decipher the dishes spelled out in a string of emoticons).

The icon-based menu ranges from easy combinations to pretty complex plates, but if it gets too hard, waiters will be on hand with helpful clues. The Yellow Door house punch (yellow heart + door + house + punching fist) will be available to complement dinners alongside other tasty cocktails, and a mid-week offer will be running every Wednesday and Thursday evening. Digital dinners can grab two courses and a bevvy for just £15 – and we think that equals smiley face + trophy + clapping hands.

The Emoji Menu is available throughout the summer months at The Little Yellow Door, 68 Notting Hill Gate, W11 3HT. Wed-Thu, 6pm-10pm.
