With tattoos, swabs and syringes, Silent Opera reboots Puccini's classic with a promenade production and gets scientific about sound. Through top-of-the-range headphones audience members can hear the live singers moving around them, mixed with a new recording of Puccini's orchestral score (produced by Alexander van Ingen for Six Music Productions featuring the ULSO under Daniel Capps). The director is Daisy Evans.
