Disco bar Dalston Superstore has extended its reach down Kingsland Road in some cool ways. First, they opened Voodoo Ray’s pizza parlour (boasting the ultimate disco snack – a ‘Giorgio Moroder’ pizza) and then they unleashed this excellent club right below it. An anonymous black door leads you to a dimly lit space that’s tailormade for dedicated dancers, unforgiving to wallflowers. Leaving the cheese to the pizza-making folks upstairs, various excellent promoters bring a bevy of cutting-edge deep house and techno week-on-week, supplied by an outstanding selection of globally renowned DJs and producers. The acquisition of seminal bass night FWD>> adds to an already glistening roster of regular club nights – such as Comm.Une and Dance Tunnel Presents... – which run alongside countless great one-off parties, all providing further forward-thinking reasons to visit.

With lots of London venues closing, I'm so happy this is still going strong and holding some incredible parties. I've been to a few events here and its the one club in London that genuinely feels grass roots and not some souless venue where people can be 'seen' - this is a dance all night, trip out to lazers and stay till closing type of place.
