Time Out says

A hugely popular long-running weekly club night, exploring the best ska, blues, reggae and jive every Thursday.

Gaz Mayall’s always-rammed night for fans of ska, classic R&B, R&R, blues, rocksteady, reggae and jive has been running weekly for an incredible 35 years, giving punters a brilliant mix of live bands (plus in-house DJs) every Thursday. Over that time some awesome names have passed through the doors to perform or just to have a dance: The Meteors, Alton Ellis, Lee Perry, Gaz’s own ska band The Trojans, even Screaming Lord Sutch. As well as helping pioneer formerly niche scenes like ska and psychobilly around London and the UK, it’s a night that boasts a fascinating rock ’n’ roll legacy that few – if any – London club nights can match. And, of course, it’s a hell of a lot of fun.
