Now in its fourth year, the Balham Comedy Festival is back with a bang for 2015. Taking place in the various rooms of the Bedford pub, over the course of the nine-day festival you can catch solo shows from big-name comics, as well ace line-ups in the 'Best of Banana Cabaret' bills.

Across the festival you can catch Harry Hill, Ardal O'Hanlon, Tim Vine, Robert Newman, Sara Pascoe, Romesh Ranganathan, Ed Byrne and even Paul Daniels. Yes, Paul Daniels! For the full details, see 'dates and times'.

Probably the most entertaining thing is the dismal state of organisation. On arrival to the Bedford we were directed upstairs then downstairs then upstairs then told we could only eat downstairs. The food arrived after 30 minutes not the promised ten, so we were late heading back upstairs. Despite no forewarning from "We Got Tickets" apparently buying a ticket doesn't mean you get a seat. So we stood behind the wooden pillars and "enjoyed" the view of dried brown paint for the show. Not the best value for a ticket. Such a pity. I'm sure the comedians would feel more than a little sabotaged, not exactly a venue that is fully in support of them. Can't say I'll be back...
