The beautiful fusion of twisted variety night and splintered Royal Institute Lectures returns, possibly for the last time. Each night consists of award-winning scientists, songwriters and comedians, all curated and hosted by resident erudite wonder Robin Ince. These gigs always sell out, so get booking if you want to be in the audience. All the gigs feature Ince, Joanna Neary, George Egg, Grace Petrie, Steve Pretty's Origin of the Pieces and Josie Long (except Dec 11), but check the dates below for each night's special guests.

Last night was a fantastic set. As usual an eclectic mix of comedy, poetry, music and science. Can't believe its the last year. We will really miss it.

Disappointed

The majority of the acts were fantastic - scientists, musicians, comedians. However the evening was spoilt by a slightly confusing act, who seemed to think this was an appropriate platform to make light of rape. Robin Ince has argued that he simply chose acts he liked and let them have free rein over their performance - however this led to one act doing something that went against the feeling of the evening and offended members of the audience.
