Mon May 6 2013
What better way to spend a weekend eve than with a good old laugh? There are tons of comedy clubs across the capital (not just in Leicester Square) that host professional stand-up shows every Friday and/or Saturday night. So whether you're looking for a local comedy club or a central London laugh, we've put together this map of every weekend comedy venue in the capital.
West London comedy clubs
This legendary Twickenham club is one of the oldest comedy venues in town, and has played host to practically every household name stand-up over the years. The club still hosts top-quality circuit stand-ups every Saturday night, with the occasional secret guest dropping by.
This long-established club (West London's only purpose-built comedy venue) regularly provides a fine night of stand-up. Two decades ago, £250,000 was spent converting an old warehouse behind the George IV pub into a 200-seat comedy club, and it was money ruddy well spent.
