You can never be quite sure which way Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui's dance theatre work is going to go. Mostly, he makes corkers, like 2010's 'Babel' or 'Sutra', his collaboration with the monks of the Shaolin Temple. But sometimes it seems as if this in-demand choreographer hasn't quite had enough time to pull everything into place (2011's manga-inspired 'Tezuka' is a case in point). His latest, 'Puz/zle', sounds very promising, made in collaboration with choreographer Damien Jalet and a variety of musicians, including a Corsican vocal group, a Lebanese singer and a Japanese composer. The themes are order and linearity and the question is one about the many different ways to solve a puzzle, tell a story or live a life.
