It started as an Olympic project in 2011. Now the 60ft-long Floating Cinema barge is a regular on the canals across the city over over summer. Its programme is an art-meets-film mix of talks and shorts on the barge. They moor up for screenings for up to 500 people – last year’s highlight was the brilliant, fun, fancy-dress ‘Frankenweenie’.

This year’s theme is Extra-Terrestrial, with screenings of sci-fi cult classics and on-board talks with scientists and writers. More details coming soon.
