Catch a movie canal-side on a specially converted narrow boat

It started as an Olympic project in 2011. Now the 60ft-long Floating Cinema barge is a regular on the canals in the city over summer. The programme features an arty mix of talks and films on the barge. They moor up for big outdoor screenings screening to up to 500 people.

This year’s theme is 'Another Country' is curated by the novelist Hari Kunzru ('The Impressionist') and looks set to be an eclectic exploration of London identities and our city's relationship with the rest of the word.

Three weekender events will be announced for Tower Hamlets, King's Cross and Hackney Wick. So far, all we have are the dates

Hackney Wick – August 19-21
Kings Cross – September 1-4
Mile End – September 23-25

Check back here for more details soon.
