This is perfect. I was looking for the best place to get a Christmas Present for my boyfriend and this artist and place was recommended to me. Can't wait to check the place out.

Artists: Matt-Difa, Rey-Chel, Charissa, Javi Lee and Lord Montana-Blue.
Who goes there: No comment.
Caledonian Road parlour Jolie Rouge is among the more underground in London, but it's held in high regard by the city's tattoo creatives. Their studio has a fresh and streetwise approach, all opulent wallpaper and gothic candelabras inside, and Matt-Difa is particularly revered for his graffiti-inspired work. What's more, they're willing to try what others turn down and pride themselves on not having the rockstar attitude of some of the other shops.

When I visited to discuss what I wanted I thought they seemed a bit sniffy but they're local so I booked an appointment to have a tattoo on my 40th birthday. I arrived to find the shop shut. When I phoned the next day they didn't give a damn, no apology and the guy I booked with said he got caught up in something and when did I want to rebook for. If you're fashionable enough for them they might deign to turn up and they might even lower themselves to do you a tattoo. If not, stay well clear of these pretentious little pseuds.
