Everything about The Family Business is sharp, from its boutiquey location in Exmouth Market to its suited and booted staff and vintage swing soundtrack. Its blood red interior, adorned with Roman Catholic imagery, is inspired by owner Mo Coppoletta's Italian heritage, and contrasts with the bold Japanese screens separating the work area from the waiting room (and giving privacy to customers).

My tattoo is awesome; Daniele Tonelli tattooed me and is extremely good. I think their prices are very high. £30-£40 more than most places in London and I think they do just decided how much they want to charge based on if they like the look of you or not as I was quoted 2 completely different hourly rates by 2 separate people for the same artist. Lastly the old Teddy Boy on reception is about as welcoming as diarrhoea in a swimming pool. He’s rude, abrupt and just generally needs to work on his people skills. Even asking him the simplest of questions he seems as if he was really put out. These guys really pull people on the strength of their artist, a little bit of fine polishing at the front desk and this would have been 5 out of 5 as I don’t mind paying high price for high service but with the high prices and the customer service it’s a 3. The quality of the work is 2nd to none but in my opinion when you’re paying the premium price you want the premium service.

Not the first time those guys are coming into my a man always looking for a new inked phenomenon into my ever shrinking available body room; started with Bugs from Camden back in 1999! I shall walk my way there soon. Chris complete review to follow on....

This was my first tattoo, so as you can imagine I was quite nervous! I did a lot of research, visited another shop in SOHO but wasn't entirely convinced about it. I wanted to have coordinates done, something which for me has a lot of meaning. I was quite scared that I would be 'judged' for wanting something so small. Quite the contrary! The minute I stepped in they were great, really friendly and didn't pressure me at all. We went over the font, where I wanted it done etc. I had it done with Stuart. He gave me time to think and discuss it with my friend, he answered all my questions and made me feel really relaxed. I went out for a drink (was quite nervous!) and came back. Everything was ready, perfectly aseptic. Stencil on, lied down and in 5 minutes I was sorted. Don't regret it at all! It's a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. Couldn't be happier with my tattoo.
