Turnham Green

This west London outpost of Nick Jones’s ever-fashionable Soho House stable (see also Dean Street Townhouse; Shoreditch Rooms) features guestrooms designed by Ilse Crawford, and a members’ bar and restaurant above the buzzing ground-floor brasserie.

Serving a modern British menu, this has a retro sophisticated-Parisian-bistro-meets-Bloomsbury feel and, as you might expect, the food and service are excellent. Guestrooms are soothing, unadorned, white Shaker Modern with little fizzes of colour (and little hidden treats), the bathrooms well stocked with Cowshed products.

Secluded in beautiful Chiswick, this is probably the lesser known of the Soho House Sister Hotels. It is however, my favourite! My two cousins have rented out the event room downstairs for their 18th and 21st birthdays respectively and although this is definitely not the kind of crowd I prefer to hang out with, I still had an incredible time on both occasions. The food is just divine - you get to sample a range of the main dishes which they sit on the middle of the table (don't picture a buffet, it's nothing like a buffet), and the waitresses are delightfully generous with their wine portions. Perfect for any event.
