Good location, practically next door to the Shard, and a two minute walk to the river. Had a double deluxe room, with a comfy seating area, DVD player, big walk-in wardrobe, and complimentary fruit and water. Only quibble with the room - which seems to be a common thing with hotels these days - was the hospitality tray. Plenty of teabags and coffee sachets. But only enough milk for 2 drinks! More milk please! Breakfast in the attractive Londinium restaurant was very nice with plenty of hot and cold choices. Had one dinner in the Quarter Bar & Lounge. Service was a bit on the slow side, they were apparently having problems in the kitchen, but the gorgeous Bellini cocktail made the wait bearable. Great steak sandwich. But the dessert was a big disappointment. For some reason they had taken the Sticky Toffee Pudding off the menu (I notice from the website that it's gone back on again). I had Brown Bread Ice Cream instead. Which has to be the heaviest, stodgiest, most boring and difficult thing to eat, I've ever had! Avoid at all costs if it appears on the menu again. Apart from the bad dessert, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel very much. Will happily stay here again.
