Time Out says

A hotel that describes itself as ‘fashion rock ’n’ roll’ is never going to be staid, but Danny and Noshi Karne’s Pavilion is quite mind-bogglingly excessive. The rooms have attention-grabbing names – such as ‘Enter the Dragon’ (you’ve guessed, Chinese themed), ‘Honky Tonk Afro’ (a tribute to the 1970s) ‘Flower Power’ (blooming flowery) and ‘Cosmic Girl’ (way out there, man) – and they are frequently used for fashion shoots.

The website has an impressive list of celebrities who have rocked up here over the years. Bizarre and voluptuous choice of decor notwithstanding, this crazy hotel actually offers excellent value and has the usual amenities, including free Wi-Fi. You might be disappointed if you want cool contemporary elegance and poncey toiletries – the Pavilion’s much more fun than that.
