The Borderline, Soho Tuesday May 12 2015

An acclaimed young folk singer from Derbyshire, Hardy won Best New Song at the 2012 BBC Folk Awards for her account of life as a nineteenth-century Stornoway herring girl. She arrives in London this evening to spread some Christmas cheer with festive songs from her album 'Bright Morning Star', which includes agreeably unconventional arrangements of everything from sixteenth-century carols to 'Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree'.
