Cedar Walton

Neo-bop pianist Walton is a popular and regular visitor to Ronnie's, with a pedigree that includes two stints in Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers, a spell as in-house Prestige pianist, and an accompanist with Lee Morgan and Abbey Lincoln. He's also a fine, if underrated, composer, and his recent recordings show no sign that his talent has dimmed at all since the early '60s.
