After a former life as a Geordie psych-folk princess, Beth Jeans Houghton (once described as the missing link between Gwen Stefani and Vashti Bunyan) has changed her stage name to Du Blonde, her home town to LA and her sound from delicate baroque pop to ballsy garage rock ’n’ roll. You can hear the results at her three-date Shacklewell Arms residency this summer.
