Folk legend Sandy Denny, the frontwoman of folk rock pioneers Fairport Convention who went on to make more mysterious magic in her solo career before her tragic death in '78, finally gets the big tribute treatment. Folkies old and new will be covering her songs, from Steeleye Span ledge Maddy Prior to Trembling Bells's stately soprano Lavinia Blackwell, and Thea Gilmore, whose album 'Don't Stop Singing' completed some of Denny's unfinished songs. The tour band will include Pete Flood and Andy Mellon from Bellowhead.
