Norwegian power trio of guitarist Jacob Young, Hammond organist Roy Powell and drummer Jarle Vespestad bring a distinctly spacey update to the classic jazz rock sound of Tony Williams's Lifetime. As with many Nordic instrumental groups today – see Bushman's Revenge and Elephant9 – Interstatic's sound is deeply authentic, coming complete with head spinning improv and washes of psychedlic sound.
