Contructed for the most part simply by looping her voice, Barwick's music is a wash of folk-soaked ambience. She's released two haunting albums so far, including the recent 'Nepenthe', and should go down particularly well with anyone who thought Cocteau Twins' ethereal masterpiece 'Victorialand' just had too many guitars.
