Kongos

The four sons of South African singer John Kongos (whose song 'He's Gonna Step On You Again' was the basis for The Happy Mondays' 'Step On') have been making waves of their own as a family band, scaling the US charts with their million-selling single 'Come With Me Now'. Their sound is an interesting mash-up of pop, rock and roots music, including Jo'berg kwaito. The flat, commercial production lets it down a bit on record, but by all accounts they're a riot live. Catch them in a small venue before they replicate their American success over here.
