Drum-master Manu Katché has played with some serious heavyweight names, including Peter Gabriel, Sting, Tracey Chapman and Joni Mitchell. The man behind the driving beats of Gabriel's iconic 'Sledgehammer', he is now known for his awesome jazz chops. Having spent time playing with ethereal jazz saxophonist Jan Garbarek, he easily translated his unmistakable drum voice from rock and pop to sublime jazz. As a session musician behind these big names, his technique is unmatched, but leading his own band, he is spectacular. He transcends genres, grooves like no one else and displays a scary level of musicality.
