That means classic ’60s West Coast riffs, with a massive injection of power-popping melodic joy, all dressed up in a cute preppy package. Though there’s a dark and tragic side: their frontman John Paul Pitts was arrested in 2012 for domestic violence, and the band’s guitarist Thomas Fekete had to leave the band earlier this year after he contracted a rare cancer.
