Fiercely loved by fans of the British 'C86' indie pop scene, and virtually unheard of by everyone else, The Flatmates were formed by Martin Whitehead, an indie record label boss from Bristol, and released a string of lovely singles between 1986 and 1988. Well, hold on to your Pastels badges: after more than two decades Whitehead has put the band back together with a new line-up, and they'll be performing new and old material tonight. Hopefully they'll sound as joyfully packed with chiming and chopping guitar and huge, reverberating snare hits as ever.
