You have to feel a little bit sorry for The Lumineers: based in Denver, they’d already been around for a while when four Limeys by the name of Mumford & Sons crossed the pond to Europe and rode the Americana wagon to the top of the charts. Now this Colorado trio – who look and sound like they could have stepped out of the pages of a Steinbeck novel – are doomed to play second fiddle (and banjo) to the Mumfords everywhere they go. Don't pity them too much, though – they're hitching a ride on that faux-folk wagon too, and doing very well for themselves. Tonight they mosey on back to London to headline a big ol’ show with their stompy, strummy Americana. Just to reiterate, they really like stamping their feet – wear strong shoes.
