Jazz, funk, swing and soul club Hideaway won Venue of the Year in the 2011 Parliamentary Jazz Awards. They've recently opened a free Sunday jazz cafe (from 12pm) hosted by fine pianist Janette Mason. As well as live music, the venue has a lively comedy programme, adding to the venue's welcoming and laid back atmosphere.

Best thing to happen in Streatham for years. Super Sunday lunch with live music, doesn't get any better!
One of the best music venues in all of LONDON, let alone Streatham! Bringing much needed talent and decent live shows to this neighborhood.
Streatham's answer to Ronnie Scott's an underground jazz bar with one of the best line-ups of international soul, funk, jazz and blues performers from all over the world. Entry is extremely reasonable considering the calibre of acts who never cease to surprise me as a regular. Performances are always fun, awe-inspiring and varied, accompanied by a great affordable food and drink menu.
Love the jazz club, groups from the West End and beyond, great cocktails and food. Brilliant atmosphere. Comedy club is also great fun and Sunday brunch with live pianist is a great start to a Sunday. Always made to feel very welcome.
Underrated. A hidden gem, tucked behind the Jazz Cafe on the High Road, opposite Streatham station, this place is like an Aladdin's cave that you really weren't expecting... nicely designed interiors, several 'rooms', good food and bar and excellent acts, both musical and comedy...niiice.
