Venue says: "House party vibes from local crews, up-and-coming talent and surprise guests! Disco, house, techno, '90s hip hop, R 'n' B and '80s jams."

This subterranean spot on Stoke Newington Road is all about the party. There's plenty of variety, too - expect house, disco, techno, hip hop, funk, soul, '90s R 'n' B and probably a fair bit else to get your toes a tappin'. It all comes blaring out of a top-notch Martin Audio soundsystem, so ready those eardrums.

But there's more. There are Cuban salsa classes each week, as well as comedy nights, LGBT poetry nights and other special events - it's probably best to just keep an eye on the website for what they're up to next. And if you want to play yourself? They'll happily hear your demos.

If you get hungry you can head upstairs - Tipsy's right below Escudo de Cuba, a Cuban restaurant and cocktail bar.
