As big as vaudeville parties come, White Mischief returns to the former art nouveau cinema for a Halloween ball of epic and eerie proportions. Easing you into the freaky mood will be live bands, DJs, aerial performance, a ten-piece brass act and an actual, real snake. Yes, honestly.
There'll be multiple themed rooms across three floors, all full of delightfully weird chaos and enticing antics: you can sit on Satan's throne, get a selfie with God (we hear it's his night off), have a silhouette portrait of yourself drawn, be a contestant in a thoroughly bizarre gameshow and watch performer Seffi twirl said real, live snake about her person.
Music and entertainment comes from YouTube 'chap hop' guy Professor Elemental, brass covers band Old Dirty Brasstards playing Daft Punk and Basement Jaxx tracks, Sicialian electro-swing act Swingrowers and Cabaret Rouge engaging in some 'Thriller'-inspired dancing. Plus DJs Rumpsteppers, Craig Clare, Jamie Moon and Earl of Ealing will be spinning party jams, vintage tunes, soul, rock 'n' roll and more.
Dressing up isn't compulsory, but there will be a hell of a lot of weird and wonderful costumes that mix Halloween horror with anything from vintage to steampunk to favourite freaky films – so feel free to go wild to truly enjoy the array of mischief on offer.
