Sucked really. Annoying and banal for the most part with some gross parts. Was there for Munch who is in a different league.

The 'emperors new clothes' is a good description. Lacking in substance. Just another campbell's soup can or urinal - same old jaded idea in another guise.

Didn't know much about Damien Hirst before going but I really liked the exhibition. In particular, the sharks, the butterflies and the "cabinets".

Timeout has a bug aggregating reviews. It doesn't count zero stars. So I've rated this a one, though it deserves less. The Hirst bubble has burst.

Not a fan of Damien Hirst AT ALL, simply don't consider him an artist as he doesn't produce any of his own work. However I'm a Tate members so thought I should go anyway and judge the work properly. Pretty awful, boring and self-indulgent as I expected. Worth exploring if you are rich or can use a mate's membership just to experience it, otherwise not worth wasting money on. Even the tate gallery assistant/guardian agreed when I made a sarcastic comment about it not really being his work within earshot! Go and see Kusama instead!

Took my kids there over half term, thought provoking for sure. Severed cow head with congealed blood with flies was definitely something my kids talked about. Lots of cigarettes, pills etc. Nothing I would want to own or have hanging on my wall. Glad I went but I wouldn't want to see it again.
