40 Love It

A firm Crofton Park family favourite – light, spacious and well-stocked with highchairs and baby-changing facilities – Arlo & Moe rocks a 1950s vibe with colourful Formica tables, Ercol chairs and spotty Midwinter plates. Depending on which children you are sharing the space with, it’s a relaxed and friendly place to enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of squishy Guinness and chocolate or spicy carrot cake.

Lunch choices are limited to sausage rolls, sandwiches, frittata, quiche and a few specials such as gazpacho with manchego, olives and garlic bruschetta. We love the ‘sexy toast’ – crunchy sourdough with toppings ranging from cream cheese and honey or avocado and feta to no-nonsense Heinz baked beans. Birthday cakes are also a speciality.

It's not the friendliest of cafes. Nor is it the cleanest. We always go for one of the toasts - avocado, feta and chorizo or scrambled eggs and chorizo - and we always leave full and satisfied. We just have to eat it without resting our arms on the table. For coffee though, I would recommend that you go elsewhere.

Had a lovely afternoon mooching in Arlo and Moe :) the cakes are delicious and the staff are friendly and they have the biggest collection of animal based salt and pepper shakers I've ever seen. bonus.

What is there to say about Arlo & Moe? Lots

Lots of nice people. Lots of tasty food

Lots of good coffee and lots of novelty salt and pepper shakers.

So in all, how much do I like this place? LOTS!

Great local, every time. Really pleasant staff, good and varied selection of soups and salads

I would agree with Kukkiiandkoppee, it's neither the friendliest nor cleanest of cafes. A smile from the staff and clearing and wiping the tables would go a long way - I don't think we have ever been in and not cleared and wiped our own table! The food is generally good (love the avocado feta on toast) although it doesn't always come that quickly.  We do go back as the food is tasty, it is local, and it is a positive addition to the high-street...but we don't go that regularly and always feel a little unwelcome.  It would only take some small changes for this okay place to be a great place (and we need more great places!)

I have enjoyed a lovely evening meal here with friends and tasty cakes and coffee here during the day. Very pleasant surroundings and friendly staff. Would totally recommend a visit!

I love Arlo & Moe. They do what they do so well - their coffee is delicious, and so is their food. The staff are really lovely and there's always great music playing. Its one of the local haunts I go to to prepare for auditions, sitting quietly with cup after cup of their smooth americano, or iced coffee if its warm outside, whilst families, friends, and local business peeps come and go..Word on the street is that they are opening a second branch in Hither Green - lucky Hither Green!

Terrific coffee and avocado on toast, always great music and amusing salt and pepper shakers too.

The unpleasant place to drink coffee.

Whenever I go there The staff were unfriendly and even hostile expressions towards toddler.

And even ignore cleaning the table.

Coffee was ok but It was just little filthy place.
