This place is quite hard to find and has a real speakeasy feel to it. I enjoy as it is very small and laid back. Had a really good new years eve here last year which was all you can drink, and when they said all you can drink they meant it! The next day I wish I did not take that on as a challenge but we live and learn.

Please note it is very small, but they do not care if you get drunken silly, and with a box of things to dress up I think they relish in it.

The cocktails as really nice and on Thursday, Friday and Sat night it can get very raucous. During the weekdays it is really nice for a cozy quiet drink.

This place is cool - the only speakeasy in the Chelsea area, this one is very well executed, hidden in the basement of an apartment block with amazing cocktails.

If you are looking for a quirky, cosy and brilliant place to go out with your friends, then Barts definitely is where you need to go. This 1920s prohibition era themed speakeasy is wonderful! The music and cool staff complement the atmosphere perfectly. The vintage fancy dress items you can wear and the unusually-shaped cocktail glasses also bring a lot of fun to the experience. The place was newly refurbished and I have to say that it looks amazing, especially the new wallpaper and the cool menus in books! The new cocktails are also awesome – they have this crazy Chinese Lantern style one that arrived at our table actually smoking and in a giant lantern! As a French girl freshly arrived in the capital, I am glad I discovered Barts and I wish there were more places like this back home, it's brilliant!
