  • I took my boyfriend to Bentley's for a birthday treat and what a treat it was! The service was fabulous and very personable and the food was perfect. The quality of the ingredients was top notch and my boyfriend who also happens to be a chef was very impressed indeed. I highly recommend this restaurant and the lovely terrace area outside.

  • We visited for lunch earlier this week and enjoyed a meal on the terrace. The service was a wonderful as ever and our food was fantastic - the dressed crab was a highlight, followed by a delicious Lemon Sole. They just get it all right - such a beautiful restaurant.

  • Besides the incredible food, i simply adore the atmosphere of the Oyster Bar and the live pianist! Just a really fantastic addition to such delicious food - I've sampled many of their dishes and can honestly say that i've loved every one of them; my absolute favourite has to be the oysters (of course). Worth every penny.

  • I love the oyster bar and have enjoyed some really great plates of fish, tapas style, washed down with a wonderful Albarrino while perched on a high stool. The food was faultless and the atmosphere great. We even had a pianist to add to the Friday night vibe! I agree with the TO review that the main restaurant seemed a little dead.

  • A group of us paid around £50 each for the St Patricks Day event at Bentleys. I wouldnt recommend it. They put you in a damp smelling cellar and put on a buffet that even your mother could better. Then a whole load of other people come in for the evening event and they swipe away your seats. The man himself swans in later (Richard Corrigan) and what a total arrogant idiot he is, we all hated him (us being all female) vile, vile man. I arrange lots of lunches, dinners and events and I would never, ever go near his places ever again. Ive been to Corrigans in Mayfair too where they will plonk bread on your table and charge you extra for that - something like £2.50 per head for a slice of bread, as if they dont charge enough. What a let down. I would avoid. Plenty of other lovely places to go with far better food and ambience - try any of the Micehlin star reataurants for lunch - excellent value.

  • I recently visited Bentlely's to celebrate my wedding anniversary but unfortunately was really disappointed. The oysters were excellent but the main course was so salty I was left with stomach cramps and had to spend the rest of the evening drinking gallons of water. Would highly recommend a visit for the oysters alone but would steer clear of any other dishes as they are overpriced and overseasoned.

  • I recently went to Bentleys for dinner and enjoyed it immensely! Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Piccadilly, I quite enjoyed sitting outside on their small patio. Although in a higher price range, the food is well worth what you are paying for it. Sadly to say I did not enjoy any oysters on this visit, but the food we did order was absolutely perfect--the mediterranean fish stew, especially. The service was swift, but not rushed, and the staff were very pleasant. Overall, a wonderful dining experience that I would recommend to anyone!

  • I visited Bentleys recently - the food is excellent - especially the fish pie - luckily 'Daniel' was not my waiter (mentioned in the previous review) although I'd describe the service as 'brisk' which suited me. I felt perfectly comfortable in casual attire and was pleasantly surprised that the prices were reasonable and there was nothing stuffy or finicky/fussy about the place. However I did notice that some of the diners appeared to be regulars and greeted the maitre d' as an old friend and seemed to absorb his attention - which is fine but this makes it feel clicky for other non-regular diners. I'd go back - I love Richard Corrigan's menu - its delightful.
