Bottega Prelibato restaurant and deli in London's Shoreditch is one of those very special places that, once you discover it, you're torn between keeping it to yourself and telling everyone you know. We're opting for the latter. Bottega Prelibato is a deli during the day and an intimate, authentically Italian restaurant in the evenings. The space is intimate and warm with the friendliest welcome you could imagine. Bottega Prelibato specialises in homemade fresh egg pastas, cured meats and charcuterie, pecorino cheese and a daily changing menu of seasonal specialities like tagliata Toscana and meat dishes like lamb shanks. You'll have to check the blackboards just like a rustic trattoria for the dishes of the day. The desserts are homemade, favourites like tiramisu, cakes and fruity flans. The wine list features reasonably-priced and fully-flavoured bottles from Tuscany, the Veneto, Puglia and Piemonte. The peerless coffee alone justifies a visit.

Understated & amazing! This is the keyser Söze of Italian restaurants! On first entering what appears to be a small deli type cafe, I was a little dubious. As one I am a coeliac so can't eat wheat and two I don't usually venture so far to eat! There were only two of us and another table (early eve), so the italian waitress asked if she could read the menu to us off the black boards hand written each day! From then on I was hooked! Not only because the food was freshly arranged by the chef each day but also the attention paid to sourcing a variety of italian regional produce! For example Sardinian pecorino cheese! I had the best T-bone steak! This place is all about the love of food which isn't what going out to eat is all about?

My favorite place in london! the food is amazing, the place so nice and the staff adorable.
