This south London wine bar and brasserie set in a refurbished English boozer is managed by a couple of French brothers - maitre d', Nolan, and head chef, Florent. There's a certain pedigree to it too, with the pair's parents running the long-standing Lobster Pot, just down the road.

Live music upstairs, in the Piano Bar, plays an important part in evenings here. Expect jazz quartets, soul soloists, vocal harmonies and even a bit of funk alongside open-mic sessions and nights dedicated to the musicals of the West End.

The ground-floor brasserie serves rustic French fare. Expect pan-fried chicken livers, terrines of foie gras, vegetarian croustades, moules marinière and cassoulets served for two. There's also a smoking terrace, a private dining room, free WiFi and newspapers, should you fancy a lounge.

I think this is a lovely venue. I mainly go there to watch the jazz, particularly on a Monday night, when one of the best jazz bands in the country play-and I have seen hundreds, if not thousands of jazz gigs in my life. There is a guest musician each week who is from the top flight of London based jazz. Lovely beer from Belgium, and a great friendly atmosphere.

This has been our favourite local restaurant ever since it opened. It is authentically French (we can vouch for that, as we have a house in France), excellent value for money, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. Well done boys!

An authentic piece of Brittany in the heart of south London - no bogus accents and the best seafood around. Go and lose yourself for a few hours - you won't regret the experience.

Toulouse Lautrec is a little gem in so many ways. It really does provide you with everything....from great breakfasts (fresh pastries, juice, eggs, salmon etc) to fantastic French cuisine in the evening in such a gorgeous authentic setting....not only that but you get serenaded with jazz too! There is also a separate bar/cocktail space and a typically French cabaret room (think little tables, red candles, bar food). I have eaten here, drank here and performed here. My only wish was that I had discovered this place sooner.

Really good restaurant, awesome atmosphere, lovely staff and the venue is so amazing! Was about to give it 4 stars (but gave it 5, 'cause you know... I can...) because it can be hard to get a table, especially with no booking...

Such a wonderfully friendly and warm hearted venue. The food is stunning and the music nights make it a truly unique and special restaurant. A real South London gem.

Traditional rustic French food at very reasonable price. Prawns in puff pastry was delicious. I will definitely be back.

This restaurant is absolutely fabulous! The meals, the ambiance, the staff.. are fantastic.
And the live music events are pretty amazing. If you have to choose a place to eat and enjoy a marvellous moment, this is the best place to be!
