A most unexpected find. Coffee and paninis by day, bar by night. The hidden, huge, warm and comfy outside area at the back is the perfect place to chill.
came across this cafe while i was in the area. quirky cafe and cool coffee. what a novelty to have a (not so) secret outdoor beer garden. thumbs up for me!
I'm not sure what the other reviewers have experienced but I've been frequenting Cafe del Marsh for about 2 years and I've never had a bad experience there. I've visited in the afternoon and evening and the atmosphere has always been great. Brilliant music, the bar owner and girls have always been cheery and helpful, great coffee and the paninis are out of this world! The garden is fantastic and lovely in the afternoon sun. I went there last week and the owner has put up a brilliant projector and screen to show the world cup games and the vibe was brilliant. I definitely recommend this place. Nicest cafe in Waterloo.
The rudest owner I have ever met. Went in, asked for a coffee, he wasn't even at the bar and said "Can't you wait a second?" and then "I want to close soon today, so hurry with that coffee". The garden is dirty and the bathroom is just disgusting.
I had high hopes for this cafe. Lovely atmoshphere. Yet on my 5th time there I went with a friend at around 4pm. We each ordered a cappuccino each and were clearly talked about by the owner and his mates. When we asked what the matter was they told us we had spent too little and we were asked not to return to the cafe again. I was extremely disappointed andsh ocked that ordering two coffees for 2 people at a coffee shop is underspending.
