Absolutely no concept of customer service! A total disgrace! We (a family of three) sat down to eat on the terrace, enjoying a couple of drinks and a starter before ordering our mains, as we we were waiting for my nephew to arrive (he did within five minutes of the incident funnily enough). We were "bullied" into ordering promptly or we would have to move inside. We were planning a relaxed family meal and we saw no reason whatsoever why we should leave our table. But the waitress kept insisting we ordered, I called the manager and I offered the following options: 1- We are staying put and you'll be selling three full meals or 2 - I'm paying my drinks and starter and we'll move on to somewhere else. The bill was almost instantly brought to us without a word from the grinning idiot who didn't seem to realise his stupid decision made the restaurant lose customs. I remained calm but spoke loud enough for others on the terrace to hear how appalled we were! Cafe Mode you lost my custom and you'll never get my or my family's money ever again!

Café Mode on Endell Street is the smaller of this chain’s two Covent Garden-based restaurants, accommodating up to 120 people in pretty dining room. The menu is built around Italian favourites with lasagne, spaghetti bolognese, penne with salmon and a range of traditional pizzas all on offer. The wine menu is also mainly Italian, and is available by the glass or bottle.
