  • I've visited around 6 times over the last year. The ribs are their speciality and are very tasty, not sure about the "onion rings" or wherever they call them but everything else has been excellent. I love going there for Balham Brunch at the weekend, which is steak & eggs or gammon & eggs, both of which are just what you need to feel human again after a big night out!

  • Anyone who goes to Cattle Grid and doesn't get the ribs is an idiot, this is clearly there speciality. If you want a steak go to Gaucho or Hawksmoor. The ribs are so tender they fall of the bone and are almost pure meat (rather than the horrible stringy fatty things you get at Bodeans). Get the ribs, you won't regret it.

  • 2 stars? Seriously? The best burgers and ribs outside of the US (have you been to the ever declining Bodean's recently?) and definitely the best chips I have had in London - home made, crispy perfection - that might not sound like much, but I'd travel a long way to eat chips this good. Also experienced Wagyu beef here, which is like beef sex. Finally - I went to Gaucho recently in Canary Wharf where I was ripped off by staff who were like less likeable characters from "Made in Chelsea', serving steaks only just better than you'd find in an Aberdeen Angus Steak House. Steak, ribs or burgers in London - I have to say, I'd always choose Cattle Grid

  • Have been here twice - was very annoyed that I was stupid enough to go back after the first bad steak - no taste - better going to one of the local pubs that do much tastier food

  • I have to say the quality of steaks I've had here are better than this review is letting on. The chips are homemade which shows a good effort and service is good. I'd say 3-4 stars would be more appropriate.
