It’s no surprise that Cocomaya attracts a chic clientele. Masterminded by three of fashion’s big names – Agent Provocateur co-founder Serena Rees, accessories designer Walid al Damirji and former Liberty man Joel Bernstein – this chocolatier and bakery are stamped with style.
The bakery, all pale wood and marble, offers an expansive array of uniformly good breads, cakes and pastries, including mousse-soft flourless chocolate cake, and juicy quince and almond tart.
The more vibrant decor of the adjacent chocolate parlour suits its inventive, exquisite artisan chocolates. Pretty plates are topped with novelty chocs (skulls, blood red hearts) and interesting flavours (lavender, sour cherry), as well consummate classic creations.
Drinks, ice-creams and cakes made with chocolate are also available.
