The Hoist you may or may not already be familiar with. If not, it’s a select and discreet club in Vauxhall where mature gentlemen can enjoy themselves, and each other, on all manner of Heath Robinson contraptions. Sandwiched between this local landmark and the orifice that is the back end of Vauxhall station, you’ll find Dirty Burger. No, not an actual dirty burger, but Dirty Burger, second branch of the achingly fashionable burger shack. It keeps things simple: burgers, fries, and – best of all – breakfast buns, from 7am. Sausage and egg in a bap? They don’t come runnier. Unlimited coffee? Enough to keep you up all night. It’s open until 2am on Friday and Saturday nights, and at only £4 for such prime beef and firm buns, we can see it spanking the competition in Vauxhall for late-night eats.

The staff are extremely unhelpful and patronising.
I went here as a vegan and asked if their vegetarian burger, the "Cop-Out", was vegan and was told that yes it was. So I ordered. When the burger arrived it was covered in cheese and mayonnaise, so not vegan at all.
When we complained that this wasn't vegan the staff then tried to tell us that vegan just meant without meat (and continue to argue with us when we explained that it meant no animal products at all) and that it was our responsibility to check what was in it. Given that we asked if it was vegan for precisely that reason and were effectively lied to we found this an unacceptable response and got our money back and left.
Sadly they don't have a vegetarian burger or option - bit of a pain for me as my partner's vegetarian. Even Nandos next door and the Kennington Lane Cafe both have a good vege selection.
