I went to the Northcote Rd Draft House.  We had lovely, friendly, helpful service, though the food did take a while to come.  Mostly positive comments about the food - I had a big rack of ribs which were really moist and had a good flavour.  The veggie offering went down well too.  Decent range of drinks, beer and wime alike.

This is your typical hip warehouse bar. It feels modern and trendy but does draw in a mixed crowd and is certainly a pleasant place to have a drink. The beers on offer are wide reaching in not only taste but geographical location and strength. It really is a great place to explore slightly quirky beers but most of the time, at least in my experience, when you find something you really like, it will inevitably be gone the next time you go there! I can't really comment on the food as I only picked at a friends meal but the consensus seemed to be over seasoned to compensate for lack of flavour but still palatable.

Go for a few beers.

This is a review of the Draft House at Seething Lane-- but could potentially be all the Draft Houses. We went for Wingsday (only on Wednesday - half price wings). I also was intrigued by the poutine on the menu.

I am not going to lie. The wings were not to my liking. They were small and definitely not crispy skin (almost to the point I was unsure if they were cooked through or not). The sauce however, was pretty good, definitely not a Buffalo wing sauce but tasty nonetheless.

If you had never had poutine before, the ones they have at the Draft House are good. The gravy and fries actually are fantastic. Where they fail though is the cheese curds. You know that mozzarella cheese they have in the deep fried mozzarella sticks? Thats what it tasted like. Not 'official' cheese curds-- but again it could pass muster and was quite good as long as you ate it fast enough and the cheese did not congeal.

The beer selection, as always, is fantastic here. Can't go wrong really. Staff are super friendly and can make great recommendations. Just... if you go for food, stick with the burgers! :)
