For someone who is never keen on long waits, this is one of the few that I fully understand the hype. Waited a half hour at the bar with a jug of excellent red wine sangria to get the appetite going. Everything on the menu sounded excellent, with a wide range of meats/cheeses and veg options. We ordered 7 tapas between the 3 of us and none were disappointing. Maybe that was the hunger and alcohol, but will definitely return for more. The half and half meat/cheese board proved a great way for a sampling, the ham croquettes were a crowd favourite with its silky warm mash, and you know you're in for a treat when even the bread with olive oil was good.

This is a lovely venue, with an interesting interior and friendly atmosphere. However, the staff seemed over stretched on a Friday night, and was difficult to get their attention. Otherwise, it'd be a perfect night out!

This is one of my favourite venues for wine. It is centrally located and the wine list is amazing. They carry many labels that are exclusive to Iberica. The staff are extremely friendly and approachable, and in fact they even spend time trying to educate their customers and are always up for a chat, no matter how busy they are. This is why I always pick a bar seat in this spot as compared to a restaurant table. The food that is served is excellent as well, and is a good complement to the wine. Yes the wine here IS the main event and should definitely not be missed. Finally, if there is a particular bottle you are going gaga over, they have the option of doing takeaway which comes at a much cheaper price.

Fantastic venue in an old building in Farringdon, with massive windows and high ceilings, terribly atmospheric; perfect both for a romantic dinner or a bigger celebration. I've heard a lot of good things about Iberica for quite a while, so I finally visited the place during a tasting event. Despite being pescatarian (a lot of the stuff they serve is meaty), I absolutely loved it! The selection of Iberic cured ham and beef looked gorgeous and the selection of cheese was of the highest quality. We've tried a lot of finger food that evening, mussels, mini chorizo rolls, mini tuna rolls and scallops, everything was moreish! But my absolute favourite was the one I thought I'd be least excited about: baby potatoes with Canarian green sauce! I don't know what they pout in the herb mix, but it was heaven on the palate! Mini cheese cakes and rice pudding didn't let down either. It wouldn't be a great Spanish restaurant if the food wasn't match with equally excellent wine. And about that you don't have to worry.

The deep fried chorizo balls will be the death of you - so naughty, but so good.
