This Chelsea steakhouse is part of Marco Pierre White's London Steakhouse Co. The group has a similar spot over in the City - the MPW Steak & Alehouse, just off Bishopsgate. This branch, though, is right on the King's Road, with an interior kitted out in cream hues, leather banquettes, polished woods and flashes of brushed gold.

There's obviously an emphasis on the steaks (sourced direct from Aubrey Allen), with cuts including tail-on ribeye, rump, fillet and three steaks on the bone, including a 24oz Boston chop. The menu also features a supreme of corn-fed chicken, braised beef bourguignon, a tranche of wild salmon and smoked haddock fishcakes served with mustard sauce and wilted spinach.

A separate bar features classic cocktails such as caipirinhas, cosmopolitans, gingersnaps and mojitos alongside a global wine list that starts at £24 a bottle - for a 2012 Stormy Cape shiraz from South Africa.

Blowout dinner last night with the boys, big steaks and big red wine.  Packed and totally amazing.

Very comfy chairs.

We live just around the corner and hadn't been in for a couple of years.  However we went last night and it was really excellent.

Try the steaks they are some of the best we have ever tasted and my husband really raved about his chips (although I was being very good and stuck to a salad).

Nice and busy on Sunday evening and a warm and friendly Italian welcome from Stefano.

First all I would like to thank the restaurant for putting our booking back until 2pm because we were stuck in traffic and 45 minutes late. The service we received was excellent as were our cocktails that were suggested by the lovely manager. The food was also excellent there was nothing we could fault at all, my partner said it was the best steak he had had in a very long time. His only disappointment was not being able to have the bakewell tart but the fantastic baked cheesecake made up for that! I had a wonderful birthday lunch here and we look forward to returning!
