Handy for singles or couples, this long-established conveyor-belt sushi joint is keenly priced. Quality is good enough, though we found the thick fatty stripes in the raw salmon off-putting, the nasu (aubergine) miso oily, and the sushi rice too sticky. Still, the japanese potato salad is delicious doused with soy sauce (and easy to eat with chopsticks), the tempura is elegant and the fresh spinach rolls drum-tight under their cloak of sesame dressing. Serve yourself green tea from the urns if the blue-aproned floor-staff don’t get to you in time.

Cheap and cheerful but top quality sushi = great value… Particularly good when you’re in a rush / starving – the conveyor belt of sushi goodness means that you can get stuck in straight away. Not so great for a romantic 1st date - think stark overhead lighting as opposed to candle lit – but perfect for catching up with a close mate after work. I recommend the fresh salmon nigiri and soft shell crab hand rolls – yummy!

Good selection of sushi, I particularly like the aubergine and the eel. If you see something on the menu that isn't on the belt yet the staff are good at getting it made quickly. I would also recommend asking for anything hot as an order to make sure its piping hot for you

ropey review as Jon Surley says by someone who doesn't know much about food or sushi. If you are interested in eating Sushi in London then observe the hordes of french people hogging the seats in s ken or the tedious ad industry types doing the same in covent garden. This is not fancy but then neither is the fish market in tokyo...geddit

If you are looking for good sushi, go somewhere else. If you want cheap food that vaguely resembles Japanese then it might be an OK choice. Service isn't great either. The waiter first asked if we wanted something after we had already finished eating.

the best and freshest sushi in town!!! they incresed the prices a little.

Yet again TimeOut got someone to review a food type who has no idea what they're talking about. Great place, although I do hope that they haven't recently used longer grain rice to reduce costs.

Kulu Kulu is my favourite Sushi joint ever and I have tried many! Time Out you got this one so WRONG!

Not sure what planet the Time Out reviewer was on (!) but Kula-Kula is in my view the best 'conveyor' belt chain in London by some way. User comments below speak for themselves - great value; quality produce. Try for yourself!

I get take out from Kulu Kulu a couple of times a week and I just wanted to tell everyone that this is the best and only place worth going to for sushi! The prices are really affordable and the quality is always great. I usually get the mixed sashimi or the salmon roll (16 pieces!!) and it is always delicious. An added plus, the servers are all really helpful and prompt.
