Right on the Kings Road in Chelsea Le Troquet French Bistro is a real taste of Paris right here in London. Holding its own amongst the big hitters on the local dining scene, the simple, appealing Le Troquet is an ideal spot for romantic dinners, ladies who lunch and post shopping indulgence. Great attention to detail has created a wonderful atmosphere in Le Troquet’s dining room, from old blue and white French street signs to the gnarly old brick walls and tin advertising signs, not to mention – of course – red and white tablecloths. Sophisticated French bistro food with a truly traditional flavour is the trademark of Le Troquet’s kitchen where traditional recipes are used to create authentic dishes from across the channel. The appealing food menu is matched only by the selection of wines, carefully picked to represent the best of the French vineyards, both well known labels and smaller boutique bins too.

Bought a Groupon deal for this restaurant, expecting a good enough meal. What we got was way beyond our expectations. The genuine French waiter was very friendly and helpful, he made us feel very welcome. Whilst we perused the menus (one in French only, the other in French and English) we were given some complimentary amuse bouche which was duck Frois Gois. Not usually a fan of fois gois but these were delicious. We ordered a glass each of the House white, which was the best house wine we've had. We started with Frogs legs and Snails, whilst the snails werent to my personal taste, they were cooked and presented nicely. First time having frogs legs and I really enjoyed them, cooked in a way that kept them tasty and moist. We both had the flank steak. Cooked to perfection for both of us, very tasty. The star here though was the french fries, the BEST we've ever tasted. For Dessert we had the Chocolate Fondant and the Tarte Tatin. Both dishes topped off an amazing meal perfectly. I travel a lot for work and have eaten in many authentic French restaurants...Paris, Lyon, Toulous, Cannes, Rouen but can honestly say this is the best French meal I ever had. We will definatly be making a return visit. Excellent service, cosy decor and amazing food.

lovely, charming, delicious Hoooolala that was a great experience! my friends and I absolutely loved it from the beginning till the end ! lovely atmosphere, lovely waiter/manager and the most GREAT food and value for money ! I will recommend this place to all my friends ! go for it !
