Excellent bica (Portuguese espresso) and custard tarts guarantee queues of Portobello market-goers down the street every Saturday morning. For something different, try the thin almond biscuits or one of the little cakes made with coconut. Freshly made sandwiches and special-occasion cakes are sold here too.

It just shows how far off these star ratings can be when Lisboa is given the same star rating as Nondo's! The two are a universe apart. Lisboa is authentic Portuguese - fantastic fresh made pastries, cakes and coffee - Nando's is a plasticky chain with about as much connection with Portuguese food as Pizza Hut have with a true Napoli pizza.
