Situated on Sandycombe Road, just a stones throw from Kew Gardens, Palmyra is a warm and welcoming neighbourhood eatery specialising in authentic Lebanese cuisine. The interior is stylish but unpretentious with comfortable black leather seating – ideal for a long lunch with friends or a romantic dinner for two. We recommend starting with shared mezze dishes like stuffed vine leaves, batata harrah and homemade hummus or moutabel. Next, order a round of Lebanese beers and move on to hearty mains like the delicious vegetable moussaka, chargrilled chicken skewers, or their signature spiced lamb in a rich, creamy tomato sauce. We guarantee you’ll leave Palmyra feeling full, relaxed and looking forward to your next visit!

We went there last Bank Holiday weekend. I was disappointed to see that they did not give us complimentary olives which were served to all other customers in front of us. On asking, we were told that it was because we had not ordered wine. But no one else did before they were given olives. He presumed that because we are Asians, we will not take wine? He then said that he'll give it to us if we order wine! Ridiculous! We were halfway our food, otherwise would have left. Felt very offended as it was very nearly racist.Would never go there again.

Welcoming, unpretentious, friendly restaurant with very helpful staff. Nicely decorated and with a cafe-style atmosphere. We had a highly enjoyable visit, finding a good range and choice of food from their typically Lebanese menu. Their ample portions proved to be both flavoursome and delicious, as well as comfortably filling. So no need to over-order. Fully recommended and deserving of return visits. No problem finding local roadside parking during evening hours.
