Standards have fallen. Service 2/5 - The food was served in a very erratic manner. Occasional long intervals in between intervals. Staff was not very helpful. Food 2/5 - Quality definitely dropped. Value 0/5 - A chinese restaurant that charges for its chilli is obviously desperate. But charging £5 for a small serving of chilli really killed the night.

I use to think Pearl Liang was amazing BUT now i think otherwise. I recently went there with my family and there was a COCKROACH in our food. GROSS!

well, things evolve and change, sometime for better sometime for worse this place change for worse

Gone WAY downhill. Used to be good. Very good even. But my last visit was terrible. Food was very disappointing. Prices remain high but quality poor. They need to buck up their act. If you're in the area, go to Mandarin Kitchen in Bayswater instead. Significantly better.

Used to rate this place. But on my recent visit found the service so unfriendly and offhand that it made the experience less than pleasant. I wonder what has happened. We never got a smile from anyone and when we asked for a jug of water for the table we were told in no uncertain terms that they don't do that. I will no longer be recommending this place as there are plenty of alternatives.

I enjoyed the casual dining and wining experience in the cocktail bar section but perhaps I will only visit Pearl Liang again as 'a bar with small eats' kind of place. We ordered 4 dishes and their quality were not even, only salt and pepper squid was tasty and I will happily have it again, steam bums were okay, fried veg dumplings were poor and chicken satay was extremely bad, they looked like they were pre-prepared long time ago and just reheated in the microwave, very dry and sad, £6 for that was way too expensive. With quality so uneven, I will not consider to eat a meal there.

I love this restaurant!..The setting is filled with opulence and sophistication with food to match, I salivated over the dim sum and wiped my plate clean,( but messed up the tablecloth) when I tucked into their gorgeous garlic and ginger lobster with noodles!. Loved their prawn ravioli and chilli garlic soup and their egg custard tarts just melted in my mouth!.staff couldnt be more attentive. This is must-try!

Nice food, dreadful service - very slow, deeply uninterested and they forgot a main meal. Staff ignored us despite repeated attempts to get their attention. The only time anyone seemed to care how we felt was at the end, when we omitted the service charge from the bill and the manager claimed we hadn't alerted them to the problems. Never going back there.
